What is this Condition?
Tarsal tunnel syndrome is compression of the posterior tibial nerve as it passes through the tarsal tunnel at the ankle.
Symptoms
Burning pain in sole of foot
Numbness in foot
Tingling sensation
Pain worsening with standing
Night pain
Weakness in foot

Diagnosis is made through physical examination, Tinel test, and EMG.
