Peripheral Nerve Surgery

Surgery to cut the ligament compressing the median nerve at the wrist. Can be performed with open or endoscopic technique. Completed under local anesthesia in 15-20 minutes, patient is discharged on the same day.

Surgery to open the canal where the ulnar nerve is compressed at the elbow. Simple decompression or nerve transposition (anterior relocation) can be performed. Applied under local or regional anesthesia.

Procedure to join severed nerve ends using microsurgical techniques in traumatic nerve injuries. Under the operative microscope, nerve fibers are aligned with fine suture materials. Early intervention increases chances of success.

Surgery to change the anatomic position of a compressed nerve and relocate it to a more comfortable area. In cubital tunnel syndrome, the ulnar nerve is moved anterior to the elbow to reduce nerve compression.

Procedure to remove tumors (schwannoma, neurofibroma) developing on or within the nerve using microsurgical technique. While cleaning the tumor tissue, nerve fibers are maximally preserved. Operative microscope is used.

Minimally invasive endoscopic technique for nerve decompression in carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome. Performed with small 1-2 cm incisions, minimal pain with rapid recovery.
