Diagnosis Methods
Diagnosis involves age-appropriate physical examination and brain imaging (ultrasound in infants, CT or MRI as needed). The cause of symptoms is investigated and signs of increased intracranial pressure are closely monitored. The decision is made jointly by the pediatric neurologist and pediatric neurosurgeon.
