What is this Condition?
Tumors that develop within the spinal membranes (dura) but outside the spinal cord. Meningiomas and schwannomas are most common. Usually benign.
Diagnosis Methods
Contrast-enhanced spinal MRI determines tumor location and size. CT is performed for bone evaluation.
Treatment Methods
Total tumor excision using microsurgery is usually possible. Prognosis is excellent.
