Diagnosis Methods
Contrast-enhanced MRI and computed tomography (CT) are used together in diagnosis; however, definitive diagnosis is established by pathological examination of the tissue sample (biopsy). When planning surgery, the relationship of the tumor to adjacent important blood vessels and nerves is examined in detail. A multidisciplinary tumor board plays a decisive role in managing the treatment process.
