What is this Condition?

Craniopharyngioma is a benign tumor originating from Rathke's pouch in the pituitary region. Occurs in both children and adults. Causes hormonal disorders and vision problems.

Diagnosis Methods

MRI imaging shows cystic and calcified structure. Hormonal tests and visual field examination are performed.

Treatment Methods

Surgical resection is primary treatment. When total resection is difficult, radiotherapy is applied after partial resection. Lifelong hormone replacement may be required.
