What is this Condition?

Facet joint block involves injection of local anesthetic and steroid into the facet joints or their innervating medial branch nerves for pain management.

Diagnosis Methods

Clinical examination suggests facet-mediated pain. The source of pain is confirmed with diagnostic block.

Treatment Methods

Under fluoroscopic guidance, injection is performed into the facet joint or medial branch nerve. If response is obtained, RF denervation is planned.
