What is this Condition?

Kyphosis is a deformity caused by excessive forward curvature of the thoracic spine. It can develop due to Scheuermann's disease, osteoporotic fractures, or degenerative processes.

Diagnosis Methods

Cobb angle is measured using standing scoliosis radiographs. MRI is performed to evaluate spinal cord compression.

Treatment Methods

In mild cases, physical therapy and bracing are used; in cases exceeding 60 degrees or progressive cases, corrective surgery is planned.
