What is this Condition?

Radiofrequency thermocoagulation creates targeted lesions in pain transmission pathways using controlled heat energy. It is used for chronic back/neck pain and trigeminal neuralgia.

Diagnosis Methods

Diagnostic nerve blocks are used to identify the pain source. The target nerve is reached under fluoroscopic guidance.

Treatment Methods

Under fluoroscopy or CT guidance, a radiofrequency probe is placed at the target nerve. Controlled lesioning is created at 60-80°C.
