What is this Condition?
Cervical stenosis is the narrowing of the spinal canal in the neck region, causing compression of the spinal cord and nerve roots. It can lead to progressive arm weakness, numbness, and balance problems.
Diagnosis Methods
MRI imaging is performed to measure canal diameter and assess spinal cord compression. EMG with nerve conduction studies also supports the diagnosis.
Treatment Methods
In mild cases, physical therapy and medical management are applied; in advanced cases, anterior or posterior decompression surgery is performed.
