What is this Condition?
Nerve entrapment syndromes occur when peripheral nerves are compressed by anatomical structures, causing pain, numbness, and weakness. The most common types include carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, and tarsal tunnel syndromes.
Diagnosis Methods
Clinical examination determines the entrapment site. Diagnosis is confirmed with EMG and nerve conduction studies.
Treatment Methods
In early stages, splinting, physical therapy, and medical management; microsurgical decompression is applied in cases not responding to treatment.
