Caudal block is a steroid and local anesthetic injection into the epidural space through the sacral hiatus at the tailbone region. It provides pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects for lumbar disc herniation, spinal stenosis, and chronic back pain.

Treatment Process

The patient lies face down. Under fluoroscopy (X-ray) guidance, a needle is placed in the tailbone region and a mixture of steroid and local anesthetic is administered. The procedure takes 15-20 minutes.
