Neuronavigation is a computer-assisted system that shows the surgeon's position inside the brain in real-time on MRI/CT images during surgery. It increases safety and tumor removal rate in brain tumor surgeries.

Treatment Process
Pre-operative MRI images are loaded into the navigation system. During surgery, the surgeon can see the position of instruments inside the brain on the screen. This allows clear determination of tumor boundaries and preservation of healthy brain tissue.
When is it used?
- To plan the entry corridor in brain tumor surgeries
- In deep-seated lesions or lesions adjacent to critical anatomical regions
- To increase target accuracy in biopsy, resection, or complex cranial procedures
- In delicate surgeries where preservation of normal brain tissue is a priority
Recovery and planning
Neuronavigation is not a recovery method in itself, but rather technological infrastructure that enhances the safety and accuracy of surgery. Therefore, the postoperative course varies depending on the extent of the intervention performed, tumor location, and the patient's neurological status. Its most important contribution is the potential to reduce complication risk through more precise surgical planning and strengthen a function-preserving approach.
