What is This Treatment?

Continuous monitoring and management of critically ill neurological patients in the neurosurgical intensive care unit, including consciousness level (GCS), pupil reactivity, intracranial pressure, cerebral perfusion pressure, vital signs, electrolyte balance, and fluid management.

Treatment Process

The patient is admitted to the ICU. Hourly neurological assessment, continuous cardiopulmonary monitoring, intracranial pressure monitoring, and laboratory controls are performed.

  • Neurological monitoring after severe head trauma
  • Early post-operative monitoring after brain surgery
  • Intracranial hemorrhage and edema management
  • Treatment of status epilepticus and neurological emergencies

Recovery and planning

ICU duration varies based on the patient's clinical status. Stable patients are transferred to the ward and a rehabilitation plan is established.
