What is This Treatment?
A procedure in which platinum coils are placed into the aneurysm sac via catheter to fill the lumen with thrombus and isolate it from blood flow for endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms. Applied in both ruptured and unruptured aneurysms.

Treatment Process
A microcatheter is advanced through the femoral artery to cerebral vessels. Platinum coils are placed into the aneurysm sac. Stent-assisted or balloon-assisted coiling is applied if necessary.
When is it used?
- Treatment of ruptured cerebral aneurysms
- Prophylactic treatment of unruptured aneurysms
- Aneurysms in high-risk or difficult-access locations
- Retreatment of recurrent or residual aneurysms
Recovery and planning
Post-procedure ICU monitoring for 24-48 hours, dual antiplatelet therapy, and periodic angiographic follow-up are required.
